Cream Puff

Chocolat, syrup or jelly, fill these airy puffs with the cream flavour you want

Ingredients:

  • 500g all purpose flour
  • 500g water
  • 200g vegetable oil
  • 50g butter
  • 1 pint(473ml) heavy whipping cream
  • 60g sugar
  • Chocolate syrup
  • Strawberry syrup
  • Grape Jelly or Blueberry syrup

 

Directions:

  1. Sift flour.
  2. Preheat oven to 375 F
  3. In a large saucepan over medium heat, add water, oil and butter, bring to a boil.
  4. Add flour, stir with a wooden spoon or wooden roller
  5. Reduce heat, continue to stir until the mixture is evenly thick. Then off heat.
  6. Transfer the dough to a stand mixer, mix on low speed for a half minute. On medium speed, add the eggs, about 2 tablespoons at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  7. Transfer dough into a pastry bag fitted with a star tip.
  8. Pipe 1-1/2-inch rounds onto baking pan.
  9. Bake for 15 minute, Do not open oven while baking.
  10. Making whipped cream using food processor. Combine sugar and heavy whipping cream, beat at medium speed for 2-3 minute. Divide cream into 4 bowls.
  11. Add chocolate syrup, strawberry syrup and grape jelly(or blueberry syrup) into separate bowls, mix well to get desired color.
  12. Transfer cream to a pastry bag fitted with a small plain round tip. Insert the tip into bottom of each puff, and pipe to fill with pastry cream.
